What once was originally known as a KOA campground, has now been updated and rebranded as the new and improved A-OK Campground. With majestic sunsets you can sit back and watch the view from the Clark Fork River.

About the City of Deer Lodge
This beautiful town was one of the communities considered for the permanent capital of the Beautiful State of Montana. With it being the second oldest town in the state, this beautiful place holds incredible history. In fact, there are many artifacts and museums to see, including the Old Montana State Prison which opened in 1871 and closed in 1979 when inmates were moved to the new Montana State Prison. The current prison is about 5 miles past the campground.
Fun Fact: On February 2, 1865 the first legislature of Montana Territory created nine counties, of which Deer Lodge was one. The county seat was established at Silver Bow and changed to Deer Lodge City December 10, 1867.
